GOOOOOOOOOO COWBOYS
Good evening. Let me first start off by simply saying "thank you" for being the man of integrity that you are. I do not know anything about football (or let alone any sport), but I first became aware of who you were when I was on a business trip several months ago. I had decided to watch MTV cribs in my hotel room to assist with my falling to sleep; just before I was about to turn off the TV you appeared.
From the moment you started talking I could feel the genuineness of your spirit through the TV. That may sound silly, but I believe that it was no mistake that I watched your clip. It was at that time in my life that I needed heavenly confirmation that there are still young men of God who operate in integrity and are truly making their mark on this world.
As a 27-year-old, African American, Christian, educated lady, who has chosen to take the road less traveled and morally take a stand, I am often confronted with images in society that would lead some to believe that good girls finish last. The lack of kids, drama, and heartache seem to be too much for many men in my age group to handle (some even several years older than me). They call women like my friends and I a dying breed with unrealistically high and unattainable standards. I say that with God all things are possible.
So please know that as you continue to take a stand for what is morally right that you are not only empowering those in your immediate world but you are empowering those who you may never meet to hold fast to their dreams. As Marianne Williamson says "We were born to make manifest the glory of God that is within us. It's not just in some of us; it's in everyone. And as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same. As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others."
Thank you very much. Be Blessed. Have a phenomenal season. (I apologize for such a long commentary.)
